Joes Future Food was founded in 2019 by professor Zhou Guanghong from Nanjing Agricultural University, and is a leading enterprise in cultured meat in China. The company has established the first domestic production and R&D platform for cultured meat, and has completed a total of more than 100 million yuan in financing. The company mainly focuses on pig cells and the main products are muscle, fat, collagen and so on. In 2019, the company’s founding team created China’s first piece of cultured pork, achieving a breakthrough from zero to one in China’s cultivated‑meat sector. In 2025, Joes Future Food built China’s largest pilot-scale plant for cultivated meat, completed the world’s first large-scale trial production of cultivated pork using a 2000L bioreactor, and secured an annual production capacity of 10-50 tons of cultivated-meat products. Cultivate at Scale is an open access pilot facility, supporting companies active in the field of cell culture technologies with:
